BGSU women’s tennis team hosted a successful Hidden Duals event over the weekend, welcoming competitors from Butler, Findlay and Wayne State to Bowling Green, Ohio.
The Hidden Duals event featured three rounds of dual matches for each team, which encompassed a total of three rounds of singles matches and three rounds of doubles matches for every participant.
Although sanctioned by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), the results from the tournament do not count toward the teams’ official records, but individual players’ records are affected.
Singles Success
Several Falcons found significant success in singles play throughout the weekend. Sophomore Konstantina Adamopoulou led the way, dominating her opponents to finish with a perfect 3-0 record.
Junior Libby Blair, sophomore Leticia Fonseca, along with freshman Brynn Chaffee and Kiera Taylor, all posted winning records, finishing the competition 2-1 in their respective singles matches.
Doubles Highlights
The Falcons also saw some key wins in doubles action. The duo of Blair and Fonseca proved to be an effective pairing, finishing with an undefeated 2-0 record.
Additionally, Fonseca teamed up with Chaffee for a win, contributing to a 1-0 record as a pair.

The Falcons will return to action next weekend as they travel to Kalamazoo, Michigan, for the MAC Individuals tournament, hosted by Western Michigan University.
The tournament runs from Friday, Oct. 3, through Sunday, Oct. 5, with matches beginning each day at 9:00 a.m.
