A busy offseason is underway for Mike and Jan Head Football Coach Eddie George and BGSU football as the NCAA’s college football transfer has officially portal opened, with it running through Jan. 16. Under new NCAA rules, the single winter window replaces the previous system that included a spring portal period, making these two weeks the only standard opportunity for players to explore transfers.
After the Falcons finished the 2025 season going 4-8 and 2-6 in Mid-American Conference (MAC) play under George in his inaugural season, the Falcons have seen a significant amount of their roster enter the transfer portal.
