Since entering the transfer portal on Nov. 24, BGSU men’s soccer junior forward Bennett Painter has officially transferred to Indiana, according to topdrawersoccer.com.
Painter heads to a prestigious IU program, headlined by their eight NCAA National Championships, 22 College Cup appearances, and a .722 all-time winning percentage.
The Hoosiers ended their 2025 season 12-6-1 with a .500 record in the Big Ten, along with a first-round NCAA tournament exit to Saint Louis.
Playing in all 17 matches in the 2025 campaign, Painter scored five of the Falcons’ 16 goals this season, finishing second in both goals and points. He was also tied for the most assists on the team with three.
The Cincinnati, Ohio, native played 53 games for the Orange and Brown, with 40 starts and 3322 minutes. He tallied 21 goals and nine assists in his three seasons with the program. The 5-foot-10 forward was named to the All-MVC Freshman Team in 2023 and All-MVC Second Team in 2024. He was also ranked 42nd and 52nd in the TopDrawerSoccer.com preseason and midseason Top 100.
