On Tuesday, BGSU football released their Mid-American Conference (MAC) schedule for the 2026-27 season.
Like any season, Bowling Green will open up with four out-of-conference games to begin the year, which was previously announced.
Saturday, Sept. 5 vs Tarleton State
Saturday, Sept. 12 at Nebraska
Saturday, Sept. 19 at Iowa State
Saturday, Sept. 26 vs South Florida (Homecoming)

The in-conference schedule will begin with traveling down to Oxford, Ohio, to face the Miami RedHawks, who came up short in last year’s MAC title game on Saturday, Oct. 3, at Yager Stadium.
Bowling Green will also be one of the conference opponents for the newly added 13th member of the MAC, the Sacramento State Hornets, on Saturday, Oct.10, at Doyt L. Perry Stadium, with the Ball State Cardinals also coming to BG the week after on Oct. 17.
The Falcons will hit the road for the next two weeks after Ball State. Facing the Buffalo Bulls at UB Stadium on Oct. 24, with the defending champion Western Michigan Broncos following right after on Halloween, Saturday, Oct. 31.
Mid-week MACtion will then come for the Orange and Brown, beginning at home against the Kent State Golden Flashes on Tuesday, Nov. 10.
The ‘Battle of I-75’ gets moved from an early October date from the previous two seasons and will be played under the lights at the Glass Bowl on Wednesday, Nov. 18.
The regular season for the Falcons will wrap up with one final home game with the Massachusetts Minutemen traveling southwest from their campus in Amherst on Saturday, Nov. 28.
