Danijela Tomic has herself a stud freshman in Amanda Otten.

And now, the entire Mid-American Conference knows it too.

Otten was named the MAC East Division Offensive Player of the Week earlier Monday afternoon.

The Batavia, Ill. native recorded a pair of double-doubles in her first collegiate tournament down in Northern Kentucky over the weekend.

Against #14 Ohio State, Otten recorded 23 assists 14 kills and nine blocks, while against Northern Kentucky, she came back with 17 assists and 13 kills. During the course of the entire tournament, Otten maintained a .491 hitting percentage.

Bowling Green is now set to open the doors to the Stroh Center for the home opener on Thursday night for the Hampton Inn Invitational against Loyola-Chicago.
