On Friday morning, BGSU women’s soccer announced via Instagram that former Louisville and Kentucky forward Ella Kane would be joining the 2025 Falcon squad.
Kane initially took her talents to the University of Kentucky for her freshman season, where she played 13 matches off the bench and scored her first collegiate goal before transferring to Louisville for her sophomore season.
As a Cardinal, Kane played in nine games, reaching 135 total minutes with her season high of 33 minutes played coming in her debut game against Bellarmine.
The Macomb, Michigan native is the fourth transfer and the second forward to join the squad ahead of the 2025 season, joining former Niagara forward Isabella Mazzaferro at the forefront of a Falcon offense that will be looking to improve on their 21-goal 2024 season that was eighth-best out of 12 Mid-American Conference (MAC) squads.
