BGSU women’s soccer junior defender and captain Taylor Green will be sidelined with an injury she suffered against Western Michigan back on Sept. 21.
“Taylor’s got a broken collarbone, so she’s out,” said head coach Chris Fox post-game after a 0-0 draw against Toledo. “She should be back before the end of the season, which is nice. She had surgery, [and] she’s doing well.”
Green has played 44 career games for the Falcons dating back to 2023, making 41 starts. She started the first 10 games of the season, playing every single minute for Fox before being subbed out at halftime against Western Michigan.
The Plainfield, Illinois, native recorded her first collegiate assist this season in a 2-1 win against Kent State on Sept. 14.
With Green’s absence, Bowling Green has turned to redshirt sophomore defender Christie Fransen to play alongside Gabby Lamparty in the backline. Fransen has started the last two games against Central Michigan and Toledo.
