BGSU baseball have officially released their 2026 baseball schedule. With the newly renovated Steller Field now turfed and equipped with stadium lights, the Falcons’ schedule features multiple new time options that will be explored in the 2026 season.
The 2026 BGSU Baseball regular season will begin on Feb. 13 and end on May 16. The schedule is headlined with 21 non-conference games along with 33 conference contests, with 19 home games.
Bowling Green will have two guaranteed games under the new lights of Steller Field, with 6:00 p.m. start times against both Toledo and Western Michigan towards the end of the season.
In February, the Falcons will only be in the state of Ohio once, with a matchup against Cincinnati on Feb. 24 at 3:00 p.m.
Along with their sole matchup in Ohio, the Orange and Brown have three series in three separate states, with BGSU heading to Georgia to face Georgia Tech from Feb. 13-15, followed by a trip to North Carolina to take on Western Carolina between Feb. 20-22, finishing the out of state stint with matchups against Samford in Alabama from Feb. 27 to March 1.
Once the Falcons make their way back to Ohio, they manage to stay within their own state for almost three weeks, with the start of Mid-American Conference (MAC) play beginning with a three-game matchup at Kent State from March 6-8.
BGSU then travels to Dayton to face off against the Flyers in a one-game matchup on March 10, followed by a three-game MAC series in Oxford, Ohio, to face Miami (OH) from March 13-15.
Bowling Green is able to debut their newly renovated field with five straight home games, with non-conference matchups against Findlay on March 17 and Tiffin on March 24. In between those matchups, the Falcons take on Ohio from March 20-22.
The Orange and Brown make their way out of state for the first time in nearly a month with a three-game MAC matchup with Northern Illinois from March 27-29. Following the MAC matchup, BGSU ends the month of March with a home matchup against Oakland.
The Falcons receive another three-game home MAC matchup against Akron to start the month of April.
The Orange and Brown find themselves heading to Columbus, Ohio, to face off against a Big Ten opponent in Ohio State on April 7.
Staying in state, Bowling Green returns to Steller Field for a four-game home stint, with three MAC matchups against Central Michigan from April 10-12, followed by another game against Dayton on April 14.
Heading to the Northeast part of the United States, the Falcons face off against Canisius on April 15, along with a quick turnaround on a three-game MAC matchup against UMass from April 17-19.
Bowling Green then heads to Ann Arbor to take on their second Big Ten opponent of the season in Michigan on April 22.
The Falcons then come back to the new and improved Steller Field for a three-game MAC matchup against their rival Toledo from April 24-26.
Afterward, BGSU heads to Indianapolis, Indiana, to face Butler on April 28, the last game of the month.
The month of May consists of three MAC matchups along with two difficult non-conference games.
The Falcons begin the month with a week-long trip in Michigan, with a MAC series against Eastern Michigan from May 1-3, followed by another Big Ten opponent in Michigan State on May 5.
Bowling Green faces another Michigan school, this time in the comforts of their own home, with a MAC series against Western Michigan from May 8-10. Next on the schedule, the Falcons take on Toledo once again, this time a non-conference matchup, on May 12 at Fifth-Third Field in Toledo, Ohio.
The final series of the season is a MAC matchup against Ball State in Muncie, Indiana, from May 14-16.
Based on the 2025 season, the Falcons’ schedule consists of eight teams that totaled 30-win seasons last year. This includes five of their first six opponents that they face to start the season. Also, the Orange and Brown will take on three teams that made the 2025 NCAA Tournament (Miami (OH), Cincinnati and Georgia Tech).
