BGSU’s women’s soccer junior defender Gabby Lamparty has been awarded the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Defensive Player of the Week following her performances against Buffalo and Akron.
The West Virginia University transfer earned the honor for the first time in her BGSU career following the two matches in which she played a full 90-minutes in each.
Lamparty and the Falcons allowed just one goal in the last week, tying both contests, including a 0-0 draw against second place in the MAC Buffalo and a 1-1 draw against Akron, in which Lamparty scored the game tying goal with 25 seconds left in the game.
The Orange and Brown, with the help of Lamparty, look to clinch their spot in the MAC tournament in their final regular season match against Massachusetts on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 1:00 p.m. at Rudd Field.
