The BGSU women’s cross country team competed on the road at Lehigh University’s Goodman Campus Cross Country Course in the Women’s College Gold 6k on Friday morning, one of the various races that were a part of the Paul Short Run.
The Orange and Brown had a strong team performance as they placed seventh out of 40 teams with 246 points overall.
Senior Kylee Cubbison once again led the Falcons with a time of 20:26.4, finishing in 29th place. Sophomore Rachael Hoover and Junior Rachael Withrow ran 20:48.3 and 20:48.9, and they respectively finished in 48th and 50th place.
Senior Regina Rose ran a 20:50.5 and crossed the finish line in 53rd place. Sophomore Lexi Panning just broke the 21-minute barrier with a time of 20:59.4 and a 66th-place finish.
Sophomore Reese Reaman ran a 21:36.1 and finished in 156th place. Freshman Marissa Boone concluded with a 21:51.4 and a 191st place finish, Senior Emma Hellwege ran a 22:14.2, Junior Nora Ritting ran a 22:51.9, and they both rounded out the Orange and Brown as they placed 235th and 281st.
The Falcons had multiple all-time PRs from Cubbison, Hoover, Withrow, Boone, and Ritting.
Bowling Green will head back home for their final race of the regular season as it hosts the Falcon Invitational at the Mel Brodt Collegiate Cross Country Course on Friday, Oct. 17.
