BGSU women’s track and field headed to Raleigh, North Carolina, to compete at the annual Raleigh Relays.
Day one was quiet for the Falcons, as nobody competed, but day two brought a new light with 17 athletes competing in their events.
Starting the day out, four of the Falcons competed in the 100m hurdles; However, they fell short with our top finisher, Morgan Patterson, placing 25th with a time of 14.42. DaMaya Barker was not too far behind, finishing 31st with a time of 14.50.
To close out hurdles, Christabelle Obi and Alexsia Davis placed 55th and 77th with times of 14.86 and 15.49, respectively.
Not much changed place-wise for the 100m, with Kiera Bonds having a time of 12.19 and placing 20th. With very close times, Delaney Jones and Ava Bowman are running 12.38 and 12.43, respectively, and placing 89th and 97th.
Continuing the trend, the 400m had three runners placing 20th, 67th, and 74th. The runners were Reagan Campbell, Tyyetta Herman, and Syerra Greber. Their times were 55.12, 57.00, and 57.24, all having new personal bests for their college careers.
Moving to the triple jump, these two had the best finishes of the night. Bianca Staples placed 13th with a jump of 11.79m for her final outside debut of the season. Sabrina Imes, not too far behind, jumping 11.71m and finishing in 18th place, also had her final outside debut.
Back to running events, three Bowling Green runners had difficult races in the 1500m. Having the best placement was Reese Reaman, finishing 44th with a time of 4:23.66 and also having a new personal best. Rachel Hoover placed 73rd with a time of 4:26.70. Finishing it out for the women’s 1500m was Marissa Boone with a time of 4:42.07 and placing 192nd.
Completing the night for the Falcons was Kylee Cubbinson in the 5000m with a finish of 30th place and a time of 16:16.03. Also, wrapping up the long day, two of the meet were Regina Rose with a time of 16:56.98 and placing 73rd.
The Falcons will now prepare for the final day of the Raleigh Relays at the Paul Derr Track & Field Facility in Raleigh, North Carolina.
