The BGSU Men’s Golf team took part in the Mid-American Conference championship, where they shot a 909. Their fifth-place finish is the program’s best in the MAC tournament since the 2021-22 season, when they finished third.
“I’m incredibly proud of what we accomplished this week,” said head coach John Powers. “It’s been a long season of growth, and our team showed tremendous grit and perseverance to earn a fifth-place finish.”
The Falcons were led by junior Angelo Luciani, who shot a +6 and tied for third overall in the three-day tournament. His weekend started strong with his first career hole-in-one on the ninth hole on day one.
Luciani earned a spot on the All-Tournament team, the only Falcon to receive the honor.
Following Luciani was freshman Pedro Garcia. He finished with a +15, tied for 20th in the MAC.
Freshman Filip Gerber and sophomore Andrew Lee finished +18 and +19 respectively, placing them 26th and 27th in the tournament.
The Falcons were rounded out by senior Ethan Irvine and freshman LT Harris. They finished in 42nd and 43rd places as subs.
