WESTLAKE, Ohio — The BGSU men’s golf team wrapped up play at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational this week (Oct. 6-7), hosted by Cleveland State at Lakewood Country Club. The Falcons finished eighth in the 10-team field, carding an 880 (+28) across three rounds.
Junior Angelo Luciani led the Falcons with a three-round total of 217 (+4), highlighted by a second-round 69—the lowest BGSU score of the tournament—to place tied for 20th overall. Freshman Pedro Garcia continued his strong start to the fall season, finishing tied for 23rd at 218 (+5) after rounds of 70-72-76.
Sophomore Andrew Lee (74-74-73) finished at 221 (+8), followed by senior Ethan Irvine (77-72-75) at 224 (+11). Junior David Chavez rounded out the lineup with a 240 (+27).
Competing individually, freshman LT Harris also shot 218 (+5) to tie for 23rd, closing with a 70 in the final round. Accompanying Harris was fellow freshman Filip Geber, who finished T-48; he shot 75-73-75 to finish +10 on the weekend.
Statistically, the Falcons tied for second in eagles (1), led the field in doubles (16), and ranked top-five in par-4 scoring average (4.18). Green Bay won the team title at even-par 852, followed by Oakland (+6) and Cleveland State (+13).
