BGSU swim and dive (12-1,2-1) suffered their first loss of the season in Athens, Ohio, as they lost to the Ohio Bobcats (4-0, 1-0) 244-56.
“That was a rough one for us, but OU is a top program in the MAC,” head coach Tanner Barton said.
For the Falcons, Natalia Mayorga, who would lead them in diving, placed second on the 3-meter board, scoring 275.18, and third on the 1-meter board with a score of 246.45.
Caroline Toledo led the Falcons with a second-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:31:11.
In the 200-butterfly race, Grace Bodrock finished second in the individual race with a time of 2:05:06. She also helped to lead the Falcons to a third-place finish in the 200-meter freestyle relay.
Rounding out the racers was Samia Bedcdach in the sprints. With a fifth-place finish in the 100 freestyle (51:50) and a fourth-place finish in the 100 individual medley (59:94).
The Falcons are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 17, as they take on Marshall and Duquesne in a dual meet at the Frederick A. Finch Natatorium in Huntington, W. Va.
