Scouting Bowling Green
The Falcons have started the season slow, beginning their campaign wit a 7-14 overall and 3-6 conference record, sitting in ninth place in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) standings.
BGSU is coming off a 7-6 walk-off win over Tiffin on Tuesday at Steller Field, their first win when trailing in the bottom of the ninth this season.
Bowling Green’s offense has been one of the weaker units in the MAC, ranking last in the conference with a .318 on-base percentage, a .368 slugging percentage, 96 runs and 71 walks. The Falcons also rank 11th in the conference with a .231 batting average and have struck out 219 times, the second most.

The Falcons rank third in the MAC with 185 strikeouts compared to just 88 walks, the third-fewest in the conference.
However, Bowling Green is ninth in the MAC with a 7.07 ERA and allows opponents to hit .334, the highest opponent batting average in the conference.
